Theory

Food quality refers to the characteristics of food that are acceptable to consumers. It includes appearance, taste, smell, texture, nutritional value and safety.

High-quality food is free from harmful substances, has good nutritional content, and is produced under hygienic conditions. Food quality is influenced by many factors: the quality of raw materials, processing methods, storage conditions, packaging and transportation.

In the food industry, quality control is very important. Specialists check the product at every stage — from the farm to the consumer. Modern technologies help to maintain high quality and extend the shelf life of products.

Consumers today pay more attention to the quality of food. They look for natural, organic and safe products. Labels on packaging help them to understand the ingredients and nutritional value of the product.
